LPL’s Challenge

Providing exceptional client service is at the heart of LPL’s approach, making clear and accessible communication a key priority for the firm.

LPL wanted to give clients greater control over their real estate transactions by allowing them to interact with the team at a time that suited them. The firm also wanted clients to be able to securely track the progress of their matter online, request updates, complete questionnaires, and sign and submit documents electronically to help streamline the transaction process.

As a new business, LPL also required a professional website that would allow prospective clients to obtain an online quote and access the Hoowla client portal.

Solution

Hoowla worked closely with LPL to deliver a tailored version of its legal practice management software, configured to meet the firm’s specific requirements. Hoowla also designed and developed LPL’s website, including a fully branded real estate law quote calculator.

Creating a modern client experience was a key objective, giving clients the flexibility to engage with LPL when convenient for them while providing secure online access to matter updates and important documents.

Bringing Legal Accounts Into One System

In 2024, LPL made the decision to move its legal accounts into Hoowla to create a fully integrated system. The migration involved transferring seven years of accounting data while maintaining business continuity and minimising disruption to ongoing client matters. Legal Futures reported that the migration was completed over a single weekend, with the firm experiencing less than half a day without access to posting transactions.

By bringing accounts and case management together in one platform, LPL gained a single source of truth across the business. The firm can now manage reconciliations, reporting, trust and office accounts, and matter information from one system, reducing duplication and improving visibility between teams.
